Meet Your Salty Crew
Captain Kelly is a former organizational psychologist and taught at Temple University before trading her high heels in for flip flops more than 20 years ago. Get SALTY with the BEST female Cap’n in the Caribbean!
Captain Stephen left Texas in 1988 aboard a 24’ boat with nothing but a compass & depth sounder and sailed solo to Nova Scotia and then the islands hitting all points in between. Playing guitar, catching fish and charming souls with his passion for life & marine biology.
Captain Justin is a friend and sailing colleague for 20 years, Justin is the most laid back Cap’n of our SALTY crew. Diving & snorkeling enthusiast, Justin is happy to share his love of the ocean with you on a trip.
Captain Pepper started with us as a mate and is now ranked as Cap’n. Currently in New England aboard a schooner, but longing for some SALTY St. John sailing soon!
Captain Tuck is the ‘FRIAR TUCK’ of our SALTY crew. A powerboat expert with a SALTY smile. Ask for Tuck to take you on a memorable cruise!
FIRST MATE CORY
Cory is a UC Davis grad with fisheries biology experience and is an enthusiastic marine naturalist expert for our crew. Let her infectious smile and passion for sharing knowledge entertain you for the day.
FIRST MATE JUSTIN
Justin is our outdoor guide extraordinaire. He hails from Oregon where he summers in off-season, guiding fishing & kayaking trips. With us, he is happy to teach honorary captains some sailing techniques. If your kiddos have the desire for some helm time, Ask for First Mate Justin!
FIRST MATE EMILY
Em is our SALTY sweetheart. Serving drinks with a smile, Em is all about guest service and fun. She is a darn good turtle whisperer too!
FIRST MATE TAYLOR
Taylor has transitioned from fine dining service to on the water fun. She is an avid rock climber and has a knack for sailing and snorkeling.
FIRST MATE MIA
We cannot say enough about Mia. Mia owns a watersports company in North Caronlina’s outter banks area, but graces us with her company in the winter months. Mia is enthusiastic about ensuring you enjoy your day snorkeling, sailing & sightseeing.
Somebody has to keep the behind-the-scenes- projects rolling with momentum and for our SALTY crew, that is Patrick. He keeps Captain Stephen focused and Pirate Nemo loves him too! Great Guy!
SWASHBUCKLING CANINE CREW PIRATE NEMO
PiRATe Nemo is a Hurricane Irma rescue—just like us! This 8lb RAT terrier mix is the perfect addition to our swashbuckling crew. Nemo even walks with a pirate limp, but that doesn’t really slow him down. Nemo was hit by a car as a stray during Irma and put in a shelter to die until being scooped up in the final hours by an amazing rescue organization that gave him the second-chance at life orthopedic surgeries. With major rehab in progress we found him and underwent FBI clearance-like checks to be able to adopt him as the new SALTY crew leader. Come meet and sail with NEMO! Nemo has his own Instagram account. Follow his adventures at:
