‘LITTLE DOG’ is a 43’ Robertson & Caine Leopard Sailing Catamaran. It is perfect for those groups of up to 12 passengers desiring a relaxing day sail around the Virgin Islands.

What to Bring

• Non-Aerosol, reef safe sunscreen (we sell reef-safe sunscreen) NO SPRAY/NO TINT/NO SELF-TAN

• Snorkel Gear—please rinse prior to boarding to keep the sand on the beach (we have a limited selection of noodles/vests for flotation)

• Extra snacks/beverages (we have coolers for your use)

• Payment for lunch/souvenirs—cash is always best in case vendors have problems with CC machines on any given day

• Bring your Music for Private Charters. Sound System with Bluetooth connectivity.

• Cash for any additional gratuity. Captains Customary Gratuity for outstanding service is 20% of trip's price is added automatically to final taxes & fees section during booking process.

  • Includes ‘self-service’ reverse osmosis, filtered water from our dispenser/cooler with single serving paper cups.

  • We have an empty cooler with 10lb of ice for guest ‘self-service’ use for any beverages brought aboard. (This will not chill warm items—please consider this as what will ice drinks and keep things cool for your day)

  • We offer a limited selection of sodas that are ‘crew-served’ all day.

  • We offer a family-friendly vibe of ‘crew-served’ responsible rum punch available after the first snorkeling stop per our insurance. (Full bar and full spectrum beverage service served on our luxury charters)

  • Feel free to pack canned beverages (no glass & no red wine please) and snacks in SOFT-SIDED bags/cooler bags—you will have the use of our cockpit cooler with 10lbs ice.

• Welcome Fruit Plate: Start the day with a refreshing pineapple fruit plate (a more robust spread of fruit and freshly baked items are served on our luxury level charters.

    • North Shore Deli catering service (order 24+ hours in advance with us —or—most guests prefer to pick up on the way to the boat so they can choose from the grab-and-go cooler and chip selections which offerings change daily.

    • Secret Harbor restaurant lunch STT (weather permitting)

    • Pack your own in soft-sided coolers please.

    • Westin guests may bring mango Deli from property

    • Ritz Guests may bring Southwinds deli from property

Itinerary, Timing & Meet Location

Catamaran ‘Little Dog’ itineraries are timed according to trips departing from the National Park Dock in Cruz Bay St. John. We offer a few select alternate meet locations for private trips on US Waters excursions, but alternate departures will affect itinerary capabilities and timing. We will tell you what the boat can do in the given time and you can ultimately decide what you would like to do during your day. Amended meet location while National Park Dock is under construction** Beach in front of High Tide via dinghy—email us for more info!

We only host small groups of up to 12 passengers maximum on spacious and comfortable Catamaran ‘LUCKY DOG’ so you do not have to rub elbows unless you want to!

While the below gallery of photos highlights the unique spaces and boat design/amenities, the interior is reserved for bathroom use only.

Day charters are limited to the outside spaces on the boat due to insurance and USCG inspection mandates for safety reasons. The inside is for bathroom use only.

Currently due to COVID we are not offering term charters.

Comfortable Catamaran ‘Little Dog’ is a top-of-the-line Leopard sailing catamaran manufactured by respected South African boat manufacturers Robertson & Caine. This spacious and stable catamaran, completely refit in 2019, is notches above the other day sail catamaran options in amenities and comfort. Some key features include:

• 43’ long x 24’ wide open back deck with walk through to shaded seating. You do not have to bend or climb over anything to enjoy either space.

• Spacious forward trampoline netting for sunbathing while sailing. We are one of the few boats that it is legal to be on the nets while the boat is under way/sailing!

• Shaded cockpit seating for up to 12.

• Clean, modern, sanitized boat bathroom (head) with new electric motor toilets (no manual pumping or smells).

• Private Charters with 12 guests maximum.

• Refit in 2019—everything is NEW!

PRIVATE Catamaran ‘LITTLE DOG’ Charters offer the most flexibility and personalized service.

• We offer private charters 7 dates a week. The sailing catamaran is a leisurely day for guests desiring relaxation and ultimate comfort.

• Use the online planning calendar tool via the BOOK NOW button below to ‘build’ your trip with rates factored automatically according to the itinerary you choose and your total number of passengers in your group (we have a boat minimum rate). The ONLINE CALENDAR reflects current availability and rates for each itinerary on a given day with total guest count taken into consideration.

• For more personalized planning services at a slightly higher rate, you may email us using the contact form. (Think of this like booking SPIRIT AIRLINES—book online unassisted for best rates or call-in to the service center and essentially pay normal rates that are higher than the online discounted rates.

MAXIMUMS & MINIMUMS:

• All trips have a 12 passenger maximum regardless of age and all seats are sold as with limited seating, every guest counts. We have a minimum base rate for all private trips that includes a limited number of passengers—beyond that number, each guest regardless of age is charged a p/p rate.

MEET LOCATIONS:

• ALL JVD sailing charters must meet and disembark in Cruz Bay St. John at the National Park Dock due to boat regulations and Customs clearing requirements.

• Private Trip meet locations include (but are not guaranteed due to weather etc): Westin Beach Great Cruz Bay St. John, National Park Dock Cruz Bay St. John, Ritz Carlton Beach Great Bay St. Thomas, Redhook St. Thomas Dinghy Dock at American Yacht Harbor near Outriggers. Some locations require extra time/fees. Included/no fee guaranteed option is Cruz Bay National Park Dock and the Westin Resort beach via dinghy.

GRATUITIES & EXTRAS:

• Suggested hospitality & service industry standard gratuity not included in rates, but 20% is automatically added to private trips. Feel free to be more generous!!
